The Nyack Green Infrastructure Committee will hold a Green Infrastructure Roundtable Kickoff Meeting at Nyack Village Hall on Saturday, September 22, from 9 am to noon. Please come to learn about green infrastructure for stormwater management and about the Roundtable Process that will take place this fall.
The presentations will introduce green techniques like rain gardens, permeable paving, tree planting, stream buffers and green roofs that can help prevent pollution and reduce flooding. A snapshot of key parts of the codes will be presented. Participants will learn how volunteer committees will work together this fall to develop recommendations for changes to the codes and consider programs, incentives and funding for a greener village and a cleaner river. Those who choose to participate will form committees after the presentations. All are welcome. For information contact Marcy Denker, Committee Chair, firstname.lastname@example.org.
