It is budget season for the Village of Nyack. On March 19, 2013, the Village Administrator submitted his budget for the Village Board. It is a $5,524.744 budget with a 1.94% property tax increase.

Mayor White will continue the information meetings at Village Hall at 11am until all residents have power. With fewer people showing up, the meeting may occur indoors, so if you don’t see anybody outside, please come inside.

The Village has revised it’s alcohol ban to allow local residents dinner and drinks until ten pm in those businesses with electrical power. Alcohol and food may be served today from six am until ten pm. The Village is encouraging compliance with the County essential travel ban and hopes that, for safety reasons, residents stay local.

On orders from the Mayor and Village Board, the Marina and Memorial Park are closed to vehicular or pedestrian traffic until further notice. Village crews are in the process of securing and cleaning up the area and it is currently unsafe. Trespassers are subject to arrest. Thank you for your cooperation.
