Don't miss the opportunity for some old fashion fun in downtown Nyack, watching Alfred Hitchcock's movie Psycho on Friday Sept 16 at 8pm. You can drive and park for free in the municipal parking lot (between Main St. and Church St.) starting at 7pm.
How are you doing sound? Will people in cars be able to hear?
If you bring your car, you can tune into 102.5 and hear it from your car radio, thanks to Johnny Silver, Jerry Amoon and Dawait Ephraim.
Will there be a big speaker?
If you'd rather bring a chair and sit outside you will be able to hear it from the Hopper House PA system, which has two large speakers. When we did a dry run on Tuesday, the film could be heard all the way from Veterans Park on Main Street.
If we come not by car but just to watch, do we bring chairs? Is there an area for that?
For the best visibility, cars will start parking after the ninth row in-this will leave plenty of space for people to spread out on whatever chair or blanket they would like to bring from home.
We will be setting up a limited number seats, but they will be reserved for residents of the Nyack Senior Center.
Where should I park when the municipal lot is closed from 4-11?
The best bet will be to try sides streets like Franklin St., High Ave, Bridge St. Park St. and Burd St. The Spear Street parking lot is another good option.
The great news is that parking throughout the Village from 4-9 will be absolutely FREE!
(regular parking regulations still effect)
