Come celebrate Spring at the Nyack Chamber of Commerce’s SpringFest street fair on Sunday, April 14th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm — rain or shine.

Earth Day Nyack will be a celebration held at Memorial Park on April 21, 2013 from 12:00-5:00 pm. All proceeds will benefit the Park Conservancy and the Children’s Garden. Activities for the day include craft tables, farmers market vendors, local artisans, live entertainment, educational tables, group games, and a community tile project. It is free and open to the public.
The first 200 people to stop by the Vincent’s Ear booth will receive one goodie bag per family.

A group of residents are asking for a skateboard park at Memorial Park. The Trustees have endorsed the concept and are working with active residents to fund raise and move the project forward. Under normal circumstances, we are opposed to government taking resolution action on items over which they have no jurisdiction. On this occasion, and with the powerful and painful memory of the good Nyack law enforcement officers who lost their lives to assault style weapon gun violence on October 20th, 1981, every level of state government needs to unite in support of our Governor and our state Legislature’s Safe and Fair Gun Policy and the New York Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act to Mitigate Gun Violence(NY Safe Act).
The snow emergency is lifted as of Noon, Sunday 2/10/13. Cars can now park on the street following normal parking rules. Please note, however, that the parking authority is posting temporary no-parking signs on specific streets where the snow will be removed. It is budget season for the Village of Nyack. On March 19, 2013, the Village Administrator submitted his budget for the Village Board. It is a $5,524.744 budget with a 1.94% property tax increase.

The snow emergency policy for the Village of Nyack will go into effect as of ten pm Friday, February 8th. All vehicles must be removed from the streets included in the policy by ten pm tonight.
