Due to the heavy rainfall, there is flooding in several areas. The intersection of Franklin Street and Main Street, and significant portions of Midland and Broadway are experiencing heavy flooding. Motorists should avoid these streets.
Residents are advised to stay in their homes until the storm subsides.
It is budget season for the Village of Nyack. On March 19, 2013, the Village Administrator submitted his budget for the Village Board. It is a $5,524.744 budget with a 1.94% property tax increase.

The snow emergency policy for the Village of Nyack will go into effect as of ten pm Friday, February 8th. All vehicles must be removed from the streets included in the policy by ten pm tonight.
