We are delighted to announce the commencement of this year’s paving. The Village will flyer the neighborhoods today so that residents can make the necessary parking and travel adjustments. The paving schedule is listed below. As an added bit of information, we have added the cost for paving each street. It is important for taxpayers to understand costs related to infrastructure repair. We would have many more village streets, that require paving but because of limited funds, this paving schedule will cover the most badly damaged.
In the spring, the Village will bond for additional paving and several more streets and neighborhoods will be paved. Midland Ave requires major repairs, including the addition of storm drains, a very expensive proposition. This will also be included in the spring bonding. In the short term, O and R will patch Midland Ave to make passage more manageable.
We have a project on the website giving ongoing information about the street maintenance planning and work. CLICK HERE to go to the project.
The milling will take place Wednesday thru Friday, October 7th thru 9th.
Paving will take place Friday and Saturday, October 16th and 17th.
The interim period between milling and paving will offer Public Works the opportunity to make repairs to catch basins and other infrastructure.
