Sustainability Action Plan 2015-2016

Nyack has just released its Sustainable Nyack Action Plan 2015-2016.  Like many communities in the region, Nyack has taken the pledge to be a Climate Smart Community and this plan lays out steps for reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions and preparing for the impacts of climate change. The plan also outlines actions for increasing recycling, managing the landscape better and growing support for sustainability throughout the community.

Sustainability Coordinator Marcy Denker worked with the mayor, staff and citizen volunteers, who contributed many hours over the course of a year to create  the plan. It’s a blueprint for working together to get things done. The project was funded in part by the Hudson River Valley Greenway Council. Take a look, and get involved!
